I have a stock 327 in my 68 camaro that i just bought and am going to change the engine to a 350. It has a stock hood on it and i'm wondering what type of intake I will be able to fit under it?

Measure from the top of your aircleaner assembly to the bottom flange of the carberator. Next, pick a midpoint on the hood and body where you cross the air cleaner. Stretch a string accross the hood at that approximate point and then measure from the string to the hood inner surface. Similarly place the string inside the front fenders where the hood comes to rest. Measure from the string to your carb base.

Now you have two measurements that you can use to estimate fit. I have a 68 with an Edelbrock Performer RPM and a 650 Holley. With a cowl hood my 14" Air cleaner barely fits in the opening. But it does fit.
