I had these on both of the Vettes I've owned. I'm thinking about running a set on my Camaro. Is anyone running these? Does anyone have any pictures? I've looked at the Hooker website, but they don't have any photos. I'm also curious about the fit since the Guldstrand mod.

Thanks for the pic, Kevin. It was a real blast from the past! I remember any girls that rode in my Vette got a "tattoo" on the back of their leg the first time they got out of the car. Some of the brighter ones got a second.

LOL! A bunch of my girlfreinds got that tattoo too!

I got it more than once, you just forget to move your leg out of the car farther away. Especially when you are holding something. Your natural instinct is to get your leg under you to support the extra weight, then you touch that edge right where the inside muffler stops. Then OUCH!

A friend of mine had the Hooker header-sidepipes on his '68 Camaro. It looked and sounded tough. The only problem was the primary tubes are huge and the car lost it's low end snap. Some states (PA is one) will make you put heat shields on the sidepipes for inspection which to me makes them ugly.

As far as the HP/TQ question, I'm not sure. Summit has them in black for $450.00.

On our 65 SBC Vette we switched from Hooker side pipes to custom underchassis headers with a 2-1/2" Dr. Gas XCO and realized a significant gain in torque and reduction in noise. The sidepipes have very long primaries but they are very large ( 1-7/8" ) with a very large collector ( 4" ). On top of being way too large for a small block, having a muffler insert in the collector isn't conducive to good scavenging.
