I have a 68 Camaro that I just installed a Hotchkis rear sway bar on, this completes my Hotchkis pieced together TVS system due to budget.I mainly wanted it for the chassis brace.I may remove just the rear bar if I don't like it as I have not driven the car yet due to weather.
My question is when mounting the rear bar it seems like it can sort of be in any location as it rotates on the rearend axel housings and swings on the dog bones. Is it supposed to be directly under the axel housings? The Hotchkis install picture looks like the axel housing mount bolts are pointing partially away from the axel housing, not directly under it. I located it where the bolts are the same angle as the leaf spring u-bolts. Now it's just got me wondering. Thanks for all your help.

I mounted my level on the bottom, basically the same as the leaf mounts.
Never really thought about if it was correct or not.
seems like all sway bars are mounted like that.

Thank you guy's. I read the dog bones are to be 90 degrees to the sway bar, I'm gonna check that out.
