I need longer wheel studs. (don't we all) I'm only engaging 5 threads on a 7/16-20 stud. I could go 1/2" longer with the lugnuts I have. My current studs measure 1.75 overall, 1.50 from the bottom of the heat to the end, and the threads are 1.10" Which measurement do I ask for? Thanks!!

Go to your local parts store and ask to see their "Doorman" stud box and match them up. I think they're .460" knurl and 1 1/8" stock size?

I replaced all studs on my 69 Camaro drum rear end, I used 610-186 Dorman studs, bought them new from Oreilly Auto Parts for $1.29/each. These are the studs that have 1 1/8th" of thread though, sounds like you want it longer, you can get 6/8" longer using 610-157 Overlength Replacement For 610-186

Thanks, Brian. I looked into the Dorman 610-157 - it's the length I need. Their website says it's a replacement for the 610-186, but the website lists the knurl at .487. I called a local auto parts store and asked them to measure the knurl on one, and they came up with .485. That's quite a bit bigger than the .472 knurl on the the 610-186.

I ordered a set of NAPA #641-1268. The list the knurl on those at .480. Hopefully I can get them to work. The knurl on the ones I'm replacing is .475, and they came out with very little effort.
