Imho, the great old L-48 350 motorwith the -929 cam is very torquey!

As for a cam, please consider an Isky 262 Supercam.

262/208, 108/108, .435" lift.

how about an rv cam... 204.214... 420 443.. edelbrock, Melling and everyone else same the exact same specs.. makes you wonder????.. I have it in my 327.. TALK about TORQUE.. keep an eye on your tire wear if running 3.55 or more.. edelbrock preformer or the rpm intake fits well as both are idle to 5500 rpm.. 600 cfm works great and run hei or msd.. plenty of torque..

if want more torque and have plenty of money run afr 180cc heads comp cam 280 magnum and you will have 440 ft lbs and 420 hp according to this

Yes, I didn't mention the great old Performer cam at 204/214 that everybody sells cheap except E-Brock that newbe60 mentioned, only b/c I figure guys would want slightly more rrr's out of their motor is all.

Great one step up from stock, torque cam, imho too!

What is the intake? I'd look at Weiand Action+ 8121.(big bang for the $$) For a cam I'd have to say CS XE256H-10. 212 int./218 exh. Duration @ 0.050" 0.447" int./0.454" exh. lift . A very good low end power cam 1000-5000rpm. Now if you want to step up to bigger power in the mid rpm level now that's another story altogether. Just make sure if your running an automatic trans that you keep a low rpm stall in there too.
