Does anyone have any idea how many different manufacturers there are for the 69 Camaro Roof? Seems like there were 2-3 for some other overseas parts (like quarters or doorskins), and every now and then you find a part "Made in the USA" for some panel.

I need to buy a roof panel want to try to get the best one I can!

i'm about 99% sure it the same place that makes them all. I just replaced mine using the same one everyone sells for $299 and it fit great, and went on just as new with no issues whatsoever

It has always been my belief that only one factory punched the parts too. The difference in quality comes by sorting. Company "A" wants only the best pieces while Company "B" will buy less perfect, but cheaper pieces. Company "C" will buy junk at junk prices.

That's my take.

So how do you determine who is "Company A", who is "Company B", and who is "Company C"?
