IF I sell the old engine from my car, what is a reasonable expectation?
It is the engine that was in Wolf when I bought it.
1999 ZZ-4
Edelbrock E-Tec 200 heads
RPM Air Gap intake
GM hot .525/.525 Roller cam
Harlan Sharp roller rockers
Moroso Alum Valve covers
MSD wires
wire looms for center bolt valve covers
SFI flexplate
Ran 11.70's in 3400# Camaro w/ TH400, 5000stall(hooked up at 3000) 4.56 gears
Strong as hell

This is silly...I really want to keep it.
Money, to finance Wolf's new wheels, tires, 9" rearend, tubbing, backhalfing, rollcage to 10 point from 6, and exhaust. Which I could pay for out of pocket, but it occurred to me I should consider selling this engine to finance the car's money grubbin ways:yes:

It's a great engine and I love having it around, just a waste though sittin there.:(

Idunno what to ask for it Harley. I know you couldn't build it for under 5.

I would start around 6K and take the closest offer. No one on here wants it put it on ebay, or a will put it on ebay for you(so you dont have to do anything but ship it) if youll give me a ride in Wolf when I come back home in a couple of years...I would love to have that motor but I dont have that kinda cash, nowhere even close! lol

Yeah, it's about to make me feel as though there's something wrong with my engine I'm too stupid to see.
But I know it's badass.
I'm not lookin to ebay it, yet anyways.
I just want to know what's fair market value!

It's hard to put a price on used motor? I will tell you I sold a 406 a while back that I built. New Dart 230 pro ones heads with crower steel roller rockers, comp cams stud girdles, Sealed Power forged pistons, Dynagear gear drive, Milodon diamond windage tray, moroso deep sump pan, comp .630 lift solid roller cam, comp chrolmoly push rods, victor Jr intake, fully studded everything and all ARP bolts, stock crank, fully balanced, tall aluminum valve covers, SFI approved flex plate etc etc. It put out about 555 hp. I put about 1000 miles on it and sold it for $3500. Good luck on your sale!

Dragsterman's price seems more in line. I'm a member of other forums where engines very much like this one have sold for $2800 to $3500.
