Take a flat ended piece of metal (or the blunted end of a screw-driver) and tap the upper piece in the block out slight from one end. Then grab the seal with a pair of pliers and complete guiding it out around the crank surface until it's free.
Coat the new seal with lube, hand feed it slowly into place in the groove and then tap into final position with flat blunt end of device you're using.
Install the other new seal half in the Main Cap.
Put a small (I do mean small, not so much it will ooze out when tightened) amount of sealer (silicone or 'Form-a-gasket' #2) on the very end of the seal and the cap face and lip (look in most technical publications for exact location picture).
Re-Torque cap bolts.
Install oil pan.
