I have a 69 that I just installed the Ididit keyless remote column. I also recently installed the AAW classic update wiring harness. If you've installed one of these columns where did you mount the different modules? And were you able to purchase elec plugs that mate up with the stock type connector plugs? Just wanted the dimmer switch in the turn signal arm and keyless feature. I had asked these questions ove in the elec section. But didnt hear anything. Thought maybe I had posted it in the wrong section.

Installed both in the last car I did. But it had a 59 impala fiberglas dash. I mounted the modules on a plate behind the dash. That doesnt help you much. The pushbutton mounted in the dash.
As far as connectors I had to splice them in. Used uninsulated butt splices,, soldered them then heat shrink.
Which system did you buy? He has the Flaming River system and there techs don't know very much about it. They wanted me to call the people who make it for them.

Wow Mike. Looks like your a wiring guru. I have the Ididit tilt column. But the column has the hi/lo beam switch in the turn signal. It has a little monentary module and fuse that goes along with that part. That is AAW set up. But the keyless module is about the size of One of the Flaming River modules you have. But that is not AAW. So far I took some long zip ties and strapped the keyless module up under the radio so it lays flush. Not much room for things up under the dash. And I did want to start drilling in to the under side of the dash and get into the cowl area (water leakage).

I have the exact set up except the harness. I wanted the pleasure
of doing my own wiring and soldering. I had an ECU to mount also so I gave up my glove box backing. Cannot tell without opening the glove box but it gives me easy access to both which can be important if the keyless does not work for some reason. I put my push start where the lighter is located. Really clean looking was the goal. The car will never be smoked in so it did not impact function.
