well i went out and bought a new z/28 style OER tach from classic industries the other day, any one using one? the thing that im am stuck on is i dont see how the tach will fit in the repo 69 dash cluster i bought. also confused about the fit in my old 69 dash. my car was a plane jane with a speedo and a gas gauge. did the factory cut holes for the tach or do i need to do so to make it fit?

thanks for all the help

Justin

Yes you need to cut the back of the dash so the rear of the tach can push through,I have a templet and will try to find it and see if we can send a scan or somthing. If you do it free hand take your time and cut a small amount at a time.A dye grinder with a cutting drill like bit will work great.Remember the studs on the rear of the tach have to be used to attach the tach to the housing so dont cut to much.
