Hey Guys,

My convertible interior panels need to be cleaned up on the inside due to surface rust(back seat panels) and some cardboard mold (door panels)

What is the best products to use in this case, in terms of correct color and protective properties for them not getting any worse.

Thanks

Just talking about this stuff is gonna just HAVE to make the snow melt and get warmer in the garage !!!

If you're after original finish, these panels were raw steel, and what you see is the original finish (after 35 years).

The mild surface rust probably won't actually hurt them for another hundred years or so, but since any rust is offensive, I'd blast or wire brush off the heavy rust, then por15, then, for an original appearance, perhaps a coat of"steel" colored paint.

I blasted mine, with low air pressure, and it removed most of it. Any high air pressure and you will warp the panel steel. Excessive heat. I coated my panels with Rust Bullet after, using a thin coat.
