my engine has trick flow 195s,10.3 comp. airgap and 1 inch spacer. and xe 274 comp cam,1.6rockers. im running a holley 670 street avenger series carb. im thinking of getting a 750 with mechanical secondaries. i wanted to know if a 750 would make a difference? i would appreciate any help. thanks
Yes it will, but it depends on the rest of your combo as to good or bad.Trans?,stall?,gear?.Is the 670 not doing the job or are you just experimenting? How do you like the xe274 cam? does it have a good lope at idle?
If you have 100% VE (which is rare) at 7000 RPM (which is high for all but a well balanced motor) your CFM on a 350 SBC would be 708CFM. A more realistic figure would be 350 * 6500 * 0.95 / 3456 which is 625 cfm. So IMHO, a 650 CFM vacuum secondary carb is ideal for a 350 SBC with an automatic tranny.
