Issue is I bought ridetechs 1" lowering block for my 68 which has its stock multileaf suspension. The kit comes with the lowering block, longer U bolt and a set of 4 lock nuts. What I diddnt realize and what they dont really make clear is that the kit is designed to work in conjunction with their stree grip system... In order to make this work with my stock rear suspension, I need longer T bolts to match the longer U bolts.... Any one know if someone makes longer T bolts?

Forgot to mention I left the stock rubber padding in place... Should I remove the padding? If so, I may have enough thread to screw on the nuts...

Go with U-bolts and lose the T-bolts.

I lost the rubber mounts and T-bolts long ago ;)

I did have to tweak mine so it would pass under the line Vs. over and smash it.

T bolts are dangerous. The spring perch ripped off the housing on my 67 Camaro and the car fell on the ground. An indication of a tearing weld is grease leaking near the perch welds. U bolts help hold the axle to the spring securely. Get 1/2" U bolts, the T bolts are 7/16" so you have to drill the holes larger.
