I was wondering the same thing . I believe the D has a better gear ratio to build boost faster , therefore you have less belt slippage and more POWER

Jody could you tell me what is the difference between the procharger D-1SC and a P-1SC i want a small block kit for a sbc in a 69 camaro with a air to air intercooller .
Mark.
Mark,

they're very similar actually. Same diameter, same inlet/outlet size, same gearing, etc. The impellers are different and the P1SC should build boost a bit quicker than the D1SC, though it's slight. Mainly I chose the blower depending on hp goals. The P1SC is a great street blower for up to 600-650 rwhp. If your future goals are going to take you to 700-800 rwhp then the D1SC takes over. Beyond that you're into the F series for a street blower.

Belt slip is not really an issue with either, at least not in the street boost levels.
