Define “ Kill Switch “
Starter disabled?
Main power disconnect?
The 12 gauge purple off the ignition switch is used in the safety switch circuit ….or it is in my dim memory.

Well basically what do you guys recommend? I’m not sure what’s best or how to go about it. I’ve had the car since I was 16 so it’s very nostalgic for me. It’s just a weekend driver but I figure if I install something that will decrease the chance of it getting stolen I have to try.

They dont hot wire these cars anymore to steal them. They just roll up in flat bed, drop the bed, hook it up and drive away. All in about two minutes. Dont let her out of your sight.

I'm thinking a momentary push button switch that has to pressed as the key is turned. That way you won't forget to set it. Under the dash, left of the steering column.

I never use my High beams, I don't even recall the last time I turned my headlights on.

The high beam switch would be a good kill switch, or the cigarette lighter.

Easy on my car, I can just pull the fuel pump relay that's near the battery in the trunk, but I don't bother, I just heave good insurance.

I'm thinking the neutral safety switch may be the easiest ?

Wire it into your cigarette lighter, push in to make connection (but will not be usable as a lighter anymore)
Micro switch, whether push button or toggle, hidden somewhere easy for driver if they know where it is

Just 2 off the top of my head.
