I currently have an LM7 that i installed in my 68. I have a few days off in the next few weeks and want to fill them with working on the car. the engine just doesnt feel like it has enough power so i am thinking custom Blackbear tune, headers, cam swap and fast intake. Now just gotta pick a cam here are a few i have been thinking of, please let me know what you think or if there is a better one for the project. currently its an auto trans, but will be going stick in next few months.... i hope lol.

Here are the Cam specs i probably should have listed those earlier. Please help i would like to get a new cam for the 5.3l tonight so i can install this weekend.

Comp 54-600-11 The Thumper cams not only sound great but make incredible power all over. I would go with it.

With stock heads I think you'd be best to limit it something in the 22x/22x duration range. The thumper looks interesting but I dont have any experience using them in LS motors. I would use an LS6 intake & save the money from using the FAST. On a stock headed 5.3 I don't think it would be worth it. Don't forget to get a good set of matching valve springs & hardened pushrods. I'd also get a new o-ring for the pickup tube & be sure to lube it before install. Keep us posted on the install!
