Anyone know where to get the locking header bolts? They have the slots in the threads and allen head in the center to spread the slots when tightened. Then to remove them you loosen the allen and the bolt is removed real easy. I saw them in Hot Rod a few months ago and called the number and I guess they went out of business. Any help would be great.

No the ones I'm talking about look just like a 6 point bolt but have a allen set screw in the center. I'v seen them before but can't find them now.I'm wondering if they are still made.
OK, like a split pin type, I recall I saw those at Sema. I have yet to see those on market yet. Still got my Sema cataloge, will keep looking.

Same principal but for headers. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_10002_333920_-1

Here they are, they were at the Percy's gasket display. http://www.percyshp.com/

i've always used the cheapest header bolts that they happen to have in stock at the local auto parts store, and i've never had an issue with bolts coming loose after the gaskets settle in.

Locking header bolts are fine if you retorque them like regular bolts, ..but then there's no need for them.

If you install, lock them and not retorque them, the gasket and fastener will relax, then you'll have leaky headers, burnt gaskets, but with tight bolts.:clonk:
