Going from manual drums to front discs (Wilwood/CCP), have most My parts including Wilwood MC/proportional valve. So the engine is a 454, Oval port heads, tall valve covers, and a single diaphragm won't fit. Rear discs down the road. Engine has a CompCams XTREME solid lifter cam, lopey idle.

I'm thinking the next best is perhaps a 9" dual diaphragm unit unless somebody tells me that a single diaphragm would be more effective. Looked at TuffStuff, but their web site doesn't work well with alternatives, they keep insisting on the stock size 11". Probably have to call them to get an answer on what booster, mounting bracket, and threaded rod we need to make it all work. And... I'd like the booster to be chromed, but don't want a no-name from eBay with no tech support.

Anyone want to chime in with what they used, how it worked out?

Do you have enough vacuum to go with power?
When you go with rears in the future you will likely have to change the MC again.

I'm borderline on vacuum, but tightening up the carb base, doing the valves and timing, got it into the high teens 18-19 inches. I still think I can get a little more when I get the carb adjusted. The rear discs will be in a year or two when I upgrade the whole rear. The issue right now is whether a 9" single or double diaphragm, and the parts needed to mount and connect.

You can go with a 8" dual and it will work fine

John... That's what I did, ordered the TuffStuff dual-diaphragm 8" and hopefully we'll get everything put together in a week or so.
