My low fuel light stays on. Short of unplugging it,(and it is not low on gas) what would be the best line of attack for diagnosing the problem? Its a 69 with console gauges.

The first thing I would do is use the search link on the upper right corner of this page.
Search the Electrical section for info on your problem.
If there is no helpful info there, I'd post a question in the Electrical section.

57 hippie What type of Camaro do you have.
I sold a Z/28 into the US and the low fuel light was always on. I had console gauges and it had been converted to an electric fuel
pump, and the previous owner had wired it through the low fuel light for some reason.

It was standard with the U17 Console gauge option.....

Mine was painted black with Ivory interior.
It should have been Glacier Blue. It was a documented Z with a date coded motor not original. I heard it went to the mid West.

Mine was origialy "burnish brown with vinal top and white int. It is now Blk with white stripes and white int-hardtop/no soft top now. I think about going back original,but like the black/white better,esp. when cleaned and waxed!

I meant that the low fuel sending unit was included with the U17 option.... sorry!
