it's time to put the freshly rebuilt lower control arms back on! when i took them off, i remember the bolt heads facing aft and the nuts were in the forward position. the assembly manual isn't very clear on where they should be for the aft bolts (page 50, upc 3-a2). it would seem to be easier to put the aft bolt in with the head facing forward and the nut facing aft. that might save the trouble of losing the bolt in the subframe. is there any difference or does it matter at all? how should they be oriented?

on my Nova subframe, all of the bolts pointed forward, but i think i put all the bolts so i could actually get a hammer in there if i ever needed to take them apart- so the front bolts had the nuts to the front, and the back bolts had the nuts to the rear.
i think- it's been a few years, and i don't have that car any more.
