I'm restoring a '68 L78 Camaro SS and I'm looking to lower it 1.5"-2" min or so, all around, from the stock settings. Will be using the stock setup (no coil overs or anything). Any suggestions on leaf springs, shocks, etc?

I see Classic sells this rear kit

What are people using to lower the front? Any insight & pics of your lowered Camaro would be awesome

I used the Hotchkis front springs on my 67. Unsure as of yet what I'm going to use on the 68.

I cut my Moog "stock replacement" Z-28 springs.

As for your rear, de-arch your springs, lowering springs, or as a last resort blocks.

I just picked up 2" drop spindles and 1.5" lowering multi leaf springs from CPP. Just installed so haven't tried them on the road yet.

Researching the same for my 68 right now. I had previously been on here and quite a few guys are using Hotchkis TVS. They are actually running a 20% off sale that ends today. I'm just not sure of the 2" or 3" drop.
I was recently on the Hotchkis site too, and I missed that sale. Anyway... Jegs and Summit are tough to beat and usually offer FREE shipping. Example: I'm looking at the rear sway bar for my 69, Hotchkis has it at 675.00, Jegs is 542.00 and Free shipping.

I just installed the Hotchkis rear sway bar on a friend's 68 last week. You have to install some sort of a crossmember.

Reinstalling the tail pipes will now be a real problem with that crossmember in place, especially if you're using the factory location for the hangers.

I personally have a Flowmaster 17129 on mine, and I know just by looking at that rear crossmember that my tailpipes would not work as well.

In their defense, Hotckis mentions that you may have to modify your exhaust with that rear sway bar kit...

I know I wouldn't install it on my car.

Looks like I'm gonna be able to reuse the tail pipes, I might just have to fab some new exhaust hangers that will be bolted to the Hotchkis crossmember.

I'll let you guys know how it ends up.

I know this is years old. But did you use the 1/4 inch front coil spring insulator with that 2inch drop?
Man, you got me all fired up when I saw the post about the Hotchkis sale. Then I saw that was 4 years ago. LOL

Eaton springs are $65 and just as good and the more expensive ones, I have both and can't tell the difference and a 1 1/4 Addco ($108) sway bar and $25 Gabriel Ultra gas shocks. After having 37 FBodies I have learned not to spend money wastefully with no real difference in performance and I have many to compare to. . . . .I mostly cruise and go to shows for 40+ years. I budget before I start to restore or restify and stick to it, up to 5% and have never lost money, of course I do all the work myself in my shop. All the companies I mentioned are US companies with many years experience.
