This 78 Bandit Trans Am that I did the body and paint on won its class at LS Fest. Also won the Holley Pick award. Missed grand champion by a half point…

Thanks guys. Just to be clear I delivered a painted roller to the owner. He did the remainder of the work. He does an awesome job finishing them. We also put together two Goodguys winners. Next on the plate is a 69 Mustang with full DSE suspension and a Godzilla engine

Don, What are you using on trim and bumpers?
Something about the stainless being bright polished just doesn’t appeal to me as much as it used to…
I think I’d like to black out some stuff but it depends on how resilient it turns out.

Moldings are powder coated. Bumpers I sand with 80 grit on a DA, two good coats of SPI epoxy followed by SPI black single stage applied within the epoxy recoat window. If the bumpers need body work I do that over the epoxy within the recoat window. Then more epoxy before the finish coat.
