I was wondering if the 69 camaros had an option for a mag pulse distributer?Especialy for the Z's. I have most of the parts for one,but it is for a vette.(cable/tachdrive)

No, they didn't. There was an over-the-counter K66 Transistor Ignition package, but K66 wasn't available factory-installed on regular-production Camaros.

They all have provision for tach drive. K66 was standard equipment on ZL1s, the cable hole was plugged.

Chevy must have considered offering K66 as an option for Z/28. It is listed in the 1969 Assembly Manual under miscellaneous shipping.

You'll need to by-pass the integral dropping resistor as K66 needs constant 12v.

Many of those units went bad due to lack of lubrication to the tach drive gears.
A very good mod is to add a grease fitting to the side of the housing near the gears, and look inside where the driven tach gear thrusts against the housing. If the driven gear has worn into the housing, it can jam and strip the teeth off both gears, you can drill and tap the housing for a quarter inch bolt and use a lock nut on the outside. This is a good fix for those distributors.
I can provide a photo of it if you need one.
These distributors can trigger an MSD 6 or higher. By the way, the pickup and replacement main shaft costs a bundle these days.
