Trying to get a accurate vacuum reading to set up holley carb (4053) on 69 Z/28 Camaro. Was using port on base plate(timeing port),then was told to plug into port were secondarys are hooked up too, then watched holley video and they were taking vacuum right from manifold.

Having power valve issue's and trying to figure out best size, had a 8.5 which was to large.

Thanks

Find a port on the base of the carb that at idle has constant vacuum this is manifold vacuum, ported vacuum is still on the base of the carb but only pushes vacuum at higher rpm's.
