Hi to all
I have a slightly specific question about the generator light at my Camaro. I don't have so much experience with 67 Camaros, therefore my question.
First to my car; I have a 67 ragtop SS/RS. I love that car and it makes a lot of fun to drive.
The car is fitted with a special instrumentation package and center floor console combination. With this instrumentation package I have the tachometer at the right side. Left side is the speedo, of course.
My simple question is now, were is the position of the generator/ignition light on the tachometer?
If I turn the key, it is complete dark, no red light. Start the car, everything is working correctly. I just missing that red light with ignition on.
I haven't found something in the manual or in other literature. So I hope some of you can help me.
Thank you very much in advance.

Daniel

If you still have the 10DN alternator and external regulator, this will help.
Turn to IGN, switch applies battery voltage to one side of bulb.
When VR closes as in engine running, it applies battery voltage to the other side of bulb and light goes out.
Ensure resistor is till in good shape.

Is there a brand name on your special instrumentation package?

Hi
Yes, Jeff is right, I have the U17 option. Nothing really special I think.
Is there no light with this option?
Tachometer has no light.

You get a low FUEL light in place of the GEN light with the U17 option.

If you want to know the state of your charging system, look to the ammeter gauge.

Thank you Michael.
Well, I can handle that and if it's original, I'm fine with it.
It's just a little unfamiliar. But no problem.
