I purchased the following Moog tie rod ends and Edlebrock Tie Rod sleeves this weekend.

Passenger side is installed on the car, however, the sleeve nut on the Inner tie rod of the drivers side will not thread. If I leave the nut off I can thread the sleeve so it is just the nut that will not screw on (will not thread). Anyone had this problem with this brand of tie rod and sleeve? Any ideas on how to fix without actaully returning the part? I have tried 2 different nuts and niether will thread onto the inner tie rod.

I am just going to ask one silly question... are you turning the nut the correct direction? I can't remember inner/outer and/or driver vs. passenger, but on each tie rod assembly (inner plus sleeve plus outer), one set of threads is right hand and one set is left hand.

I could see someone putting the parts for the kit together and just throwing some nuts in not paying attention to whether there is one left hand and one right hand per side.

Yes one of the tie rods is reverse threaded. I am turning the nut the correct way. The nut is the one that actually came packaged and sealed in the Eddlebrock sleeve package.

Since the passenger tie rod is in place with the sleeve then I must be using the correct NUT.... I am just going to go to the hardware store after work and see if I can find a nut that will work.

I had a tough time with mine as well, but I used the Hotchkis sleeves
& nuts with Moog tie rod ends. I used anti-seize on the threads and ran them in & out a few times.

After close inspection it looks like the 4 nuts that came with the Eddlebrock Tie Rod Sleeves are wrong. Suppose to be 2 lefty and 2 righty, I have 3 righty and 1 lefty. Talk about frustration. After looking at 4 industrial autoparts stores in Atlanta no one carries a lefty threaded 11/16 nut. Looks like a return to summit racing for 1 nut. Pain in the arse!
