I pulled a 327 out of my 67 camaro. The previous owner claimed the motor came out of a 65 vette. I don't think so. Anyway, I can't seem to find anything with these numbers other than the block was used from 62 through 67 in many cars. Here are the numbers: On the front of the block T040IHAR, on the back of the block 3858180 and on the head 3795896. Can anyone help either with web sites to look up info or straight info on the 327?

I believe that the 896 head is the stock LF7 head... 327 cubic inches, 210 horses. It has 1.72'' intake valves and 1.50'' exhaust.

The block is supposedly a 62-64 block I believe... for trucks and passenger cars. At least, that is what I found.

I found it as a 250 or 300 HP 327 from 1964-1967. The heads aas 60cc's 62-65 on 283's or 327's. The engine suffix code I could not find. Check here for more:http://www.nastyz28.com/decode.html
