I have an 87 camaro and my grandpa has always said that it had a 350 in it. My dad thought it had a 305. My question is did chevey make a 305 with fuel injection or were they all carb. If in fact it is a 350 how can i figure out whether its tbi tpi or just plain fuel injected. it does have fuel rails but i cant find a 305 fuel injected ccamaro on the internet. thanks

This topic should be posted in the engines and drivetrain section,

but to answer it quickly,

yes they made the 305 in TBI and TPI, TBI looks like a carburator with 2 fuel injectors in it. TPI has a large intake runners and 8 fuel injectors mounted on the intake manifold near the intake ports, (hense the term multiport fuel injection.)

you most likely have a 305, but could have a 350 if it was a IrocZ (but those came 305 also)
