I will look at the plate you are referring to once we strip the firewall. We will take some pics of those locations and post for you.Just a tip: I had some rust along the edge of the steering shaft reinforcement ( on the firewall) so I drilled out the spotwelds and found the backside of the reinforcement severly corroded. BTW do you have a pic from the underside showing how the floor pan, toeboard and the torque box are joined (Im basically doing the same operation as you are)?
Great smile! that's one happy kiddo!The upper and lower cowl, and outer cowl panels are all in alignment. We have them in place with kleikos. We will need to use a few sheet metal screws in a few spots to bring the lower and upper cowl snug to the metal at the the base of the window edge. I agree. This is far more than I ever did at her age and you could not have gotten me to sell my 67. The one in the pics under the tarp I have owned since I was 18.You two are making good progress. This car is going to be her baby for a LONG time. 2 thumbs up to both of you!
