The service is today and I have the tequila and orange juice out already.
Wish me luck. It seems the amount of grief we deal with is how great of a parent we lost.
She was my biggest fan and its harder than you ever think.

I can’t imagine any words that may comfort you.
We can be thankful for her raising up a fine son, that’s helpful and generous with knowledge.
She lives on in your positive influence and good works
My sincere condolences to you sir.

Condolences. You are right about the the grief level relative to the relationship. My mom passed 40 years ago but she’s only a memory away.

Literally just joined and this is the first post I saw, and maybe it was for a reason - my condolences my friend. I lost my sister 5 years ago on the 1st, and a week prior to that I lost my stepfather, and as of yesterday morning, I also lost my brother in law. Just want you to know that i'm here for you if you ever need to BS or vent about it.

Sorry man. My mom died early. 55 years old. She had a tough life.
Hopefully you can cherish the good times.

she’s in a better place and I’m sure looking down on you a a guardian angle.

Moms are the most precious yet never get the credit they deserve. Imho.

Cherish the good times and fond memories.......sometimes you never realize how much you miss someone until they are gone, I feel your pain as I lost my Dad when I was a teenager. Hang in there.

Sorry for your loss.
My 88 year old Mom had a mini stroke about 6 weeks ago. Up and around now. Fortunately my brother had called her and noticed slurred speech and off to the hospital which is not a good place to be these days. Tequila will numb it but won't fix it. I'll have a sip of Smirnoff in her honor right now.

Lost both of my parents young, Dad at 61 years, and Mom at 64. Sorry for your loss, I believe the best way to honor them is to pass on the life lessons they taught you. They live on in you..... Peace.
