Guys, wonder if you can help me out. Asked up on Team Chevelle and go no real help.

I run SS wheels ( z28 CHevelle S type.) I;ve repainted them using Details' SS insert gray" paint. Its too dark against the red car. I;ve seen lighter colored whells, like on my friends 71Z, but he got them that way.

Have any ideas ona lighter gray paint for the wheels?

You can click on my sig to see the wheels I;m referring to.

Thnx all.

I do not know if this is lighter than what you have but the paint code for the early '70 wheels is PPG DDL32961. It is a lacquer paint number and you may not find it in your area. When I redid my wheels a few months ago and I needed more paint I had to go out of state to buy it.

Gene,

Are you lookin for rattle can or something to put in a gun? the Winter 2001 Eastwood catalog shows Charcoal Grey... They are on the web @ http://www.eastwoodcompany.com You might also try YearOne as they have a large paint selection. http://yearone.com

I actually like the darker on your car. The paint is bold enough that the darker wheels don't over power the total package!!

Dennis, one of my new crusing buds has a lighter wheel. IMHo, and my sense of astheitcs is sometmes flawed, they look better. I found a Mopar grey that looks sweet, but its not satin/matte.

These things are supposed to look like magnesium. I guess I'll simply try one of the YO or Eastwoods products.. Our sponsor carries the same paint I used.

Yeah, I'd need something in a can, I'm ill equipped.

Thnx.
