I'd like to know what people use to remove fine scratches and swirl marks from a black finish with clearcoat. Assuming the softest rags, what product(s) would you use for this and then what would you use as a final wax for long term protection. Also, could I start with a clay bar or is that unwise on black paint? Thanks

You'll always have the "spider" webs in the finish. Just the nature of black paint. I used Meguires sealer/glaze as a first coat prior to waxing. This will hide the spider webs. The wax will protect the glaze and add a deep shine. On my last black car, i had dedicated wash and dry materials and still got the webs.
