Installed a new firewall with a upper cowl this weekend. I had measured
from the ground and wall the exact position for the bolt holes. Kept
checking as I went but some how passenger side of cowl bolt hole
came out a 1/4" lower. Putting a level on the cowl it is perfect? Shoud
I redo? Have a bad feeling about fender alignment. Thanks, Phx 69 Camaro.

could be the aftermarket cowl is off also. but not sure hate to say all is fine and put car together and you need less than you got there. than the problems arrise.usually you need 3-5 shims there anyway.never did a cowl replacement so dont hold to what i say. maybe a body person will or someone did one allready.:beers: wait for others to post

Is this the bad hole? The needed shims can be seen at the rear. Mine's not bad. Not sure what to suggest.
A thought! Just oblong the fender bolt hole if it's off too much.

Thanks for the feedback. Thats the hole allright. After talking to a body
shop that has worked on camaros he said yeah you can shim it, easier
to have hole lower than high. However I installed a firewall with pans while
I was doing the cowl too. The subframe hole is also 1/4" lower, so I decided
to drill out welds and redo. Will take more time on this Sat. New dash panel
is coming and I will line up more carefully. Need to do it right, less problems
down the road. I hate those damm spotwelds!!!!!

Hey Flynn, Sorry I have been working on the car and went on vacation
for awhile. If you still need some pictures let me know and I'll figure how
to post them. Now working on full trunk, frame rails, and a couple of
quarters. Hope this thing all comes together right...
