I have a Holley 4778-4. It was running rich so I have taken the bowls off to rejet.

It has 78s in the front and 69s in the secondaries...

Isn't that backwards??

This carb was a one owner (he didn't like it) and almost brand new.

I am at 4,500 ft above sea level

What should have this carb had stock??

Recommendations??

All help appreciated.

Thanks
Tim

If you'll go to the Holley website (www.holley.com), their tech section will show you EXACTLY the way your carb was originally built. You'll probably find it more like 68's in the primaries and 74-76's in the secondaries. At 4500 feet, you'll want to jet down 2 to 4 numbers.

That was GREAT!!! It had just the info I needed. They WERE backwards!!!

I wonder if it came that way from the factory.

The guy I bought it from said it was WAY too big for his motor. If only he knew what I now know!! He would probably still have it on his car.

Thanks again.
