Ok guys i just bought an 89 RS tha was converted to a 350 carburated engine and the computer was taken out. I have an electric fan but i have to turn it on and off manually. Is there a way to wire the fan so that it will go on and off automatically? I would like it to go on and off automatically but i would also like to be able to turn it on when i want (while waiting in line at the drag strip). is any of this possible or do i have to keep turning it on and off by my self? i heard something about relays or something, but i am only 18 and not very go with electrical stuff, so please explain to me how this is done.

P.S. i know most of you guys own 1st gens, but you seem to use electric fans a lot.

I have a thermostatic switch mounted in the head that grounds at 195 degrees and turns the fan on. Summit sells kits for this amoung others. But I would leave a manual bypass switch in just in case it fails so that you can still turn on the fan.
