The Gen Light is on in my 69 only when I turn the Key off and the colum is locked. The Charging system seems to be ok and I havnt had any electrical glitches up until this happened . Any Thoughts as to what to look for ?
My light would come on , when the regulator was bad,or the relay was sticking. Also the voltage meter would show that the system was not charging I did put a solid state one in,and it works fine,no more relays.
You can try taking a test light or meter and checking the ignition terminal in the fuse panel to verify the ignition switch is turning off. Key on should have 12 volts, key off zero.
Does your car have an external voltage regulator (stock set up)?
Tom beat me to it, I'm thinking contacts sticking together.

External Regulator is fairly New also Horn relay is Fairly new, But I will do that Check with the testlight just to Verify the Ignition is working correctly
