Hey guys, need your opinion....I am currently running........
Front 195/65/15
Rear 235/60/15
Thinking of this setup.............
Front 215/65/15
Rear 245/60/15
Want to raise the front a hair and fill the gap in the rear some..here is the site I use...........

old-> 7.6 x 25 Vs. 8.5 x 26 <- new

old -> 9.25 x 26 Vs. 9.6 x 26.5 <-new

Fronts 1" wider and 1" taller, rears basicly no change.

Not really much of a change that will make it look any different IMO

Maybe a 215/70/15 to raise the front a tad..........help me out guys....thanks.....alan

In the 1980's and into the early 1990's, P215/65/R15 was original equipment (OE) on many GM cars...Cars such as the Buick Grand National and Old Cutlass Supreme in both FWD & RWD configurations. You would find this size on 1982 - 1987 Z28's and 1988 - 1990 IROC-Zs which did not come with the 5.7L option. All 5.7L IROC's required the use of P245/50/R16..........The P215/65/R15 size is 26.00 inches in overall diameter (OD). The P235/60/R15 is 26.10 in OD....A P195/65/R15 size was OE on Nissan Maxima's in the late 1980's and I would not use that size on your Camaro at all.

First, you need to make sure your front springs are not sagging or that the vehicle ride height has not been altered to give the car a lower stance. I run P235/60/R15's on my 1969 w/ 15x7 Chrome Rally's all the way around. Here's a pic I found from about 2 years ago. I had replaced the 14x6 Rocket Racing wheels around this time. The P235/60/R15's on my car do not rub even on hard turns. You can easily put a P215/65/R15 under there as it was a more common size than P235/60/R15's. P225/60/R15 was used on the Mustang 5.0L in the late 1980's & early 1990's and that's common too........IMHO you should be able to fit a P255/60/R15 in the back if your springs are in good shape.

FWIW I worked in the tire & auto industry for about 9 years or so until March of 1998. Even when I worked at new car dealers during some of this period, many of the other dealers would sent their tire problems to me and I worked closely with the tire manufacturers to determine if it was in fact a tire problem due to defects & workmanship or a problem caused by mommy or daddy letting junior borrow the car for the weekend. :eek: If you need more help just reply to this thread or send me a PM....It's been a long time but I'll do my best to help you out.
