how come there is no tuning/performance programming section within these forums?

there is a big market for this, and it would generate a lot of activity for these forums on camaros.net...

Lew - If you look at the site beyond the forums you'll see TC started as a 1st gen site. Over the years this place has evolved and grown into a place for owners of all generations, the sites largest following still centers around the 1st gen Camaro though.

With the growth beyond 1st gen Camaros comes fuel injection in 3rd, 4th and now 5th gen cars as well the pro-touring aspect. For that reason we have added a "Pro-Touring" forum and an "EFI in your Modern Classic" forum as well as generation specific forums. There is also a "Performance" forum that lends itself to tuning and programing questions as well as compression traction and all things performance...

We always appreciate hearing from members and strive to make everyone comfortible here. One thing I have seen over the years involved with this site though is we could build a forum for just about anything breaking the Camaro down into 1000 forums for organization and to please everyone on the individual level. You would think that would make for a nice neat and organized site...

Well unfortunately for every 1 guy that labels his tool box and has a place for every tool and wipes off and puts every wrench back as soon as he's done, there are 25 that just set the tool down on the bench or ground where they are working and it stays there until the next time they need it.

Reality is the more we break it down with additional forums the more we find the site is full of mis-placed posts. That requires more moderation which generates mis-understandings and hurt feelings because the average guy here sees it as they were being punished if their post gets moved.

Of course we wouldn't want just one big forum so some organization is preferred but even what we have now can get rather overwhelming...

Sorry for the long reply, I just wanted to impart that the idea of a new forum isn't a bad one, but isn't always practical in the over all scheme of things. If you look through the list of forums you'll find there is one called "Site Discussion" where a request for a new forum could be made and those responsible for the forums can respond and take it under concideration...
