Somewhere in my pile of CHP, Super Chevy, and Car Craft I read an article about some neat looking cluth linkage rods with spherical ends. The rods were made of aluminium. They looked good and cost about $59 if I remember correctly.
If anyone has used these give me your opinion of them and let me know where you got 'em. I will continue to look through my mags.
Thanks a bunch,
Guy

Has anyone ever used this? Looks like a good deal to me, since I'll be pulling my tranny out in a short time, I might need to upgrade to this anyhow.

Perhaps about a year ago I bought and installed these. They're great. This led to a group purchase and perhaps others will chime in with their experiences. The pedal action is smooth as butter. I love it.

Yep, based on Rick's positive feedback and interest from others, I set up a group purchase from Speed Direct. I've had the new clutch linkage on for almost a year now, and it's still nice and smooth. Definitely an improvement from stock. Others have said they can build the same thing for less money than what Speed Direct wants, but if you don't want to do your own fabricating it's easier to just buy it from them. Plus their spherical rod ends are teflon lined and seem to work smoother, stay clean, and last longer. I give them 2 thumbs up!

I was a part of the group purchase and mine are installed.

I agree there is an improvement but I am unsure if it was a 53 dollar improvement. Its not like hittin' the NOS button, (night and day.) KnowWhatIMeanVern?

That said, let me be clear by saying I do not regret the purchase and yet another "thank you" for puting together the group buy.

Best regards to all,

Thanks David,
I'm not in a big hurry for this so I might look into building my own. I'll check out the web site you show and figure up the total.
Did you get the tubing from them also?
Thanks again,
Guy
