Hey Yall,
Just wanted to say hey to all the other car nuts like myself and also maybe get some help at the same time. I have added a new thumper cam to the SB 350 in my 69 and I am at the point of adding my new harmonic balancer. I used the bolt tool that pushes the balancer onto the crank, I didn't want to hit it with a hammer, anyway the balancer has slid on the crank pretty easy but it has gotten fairly tight but it feels like I could keep turning the big nut thats on the bolt that pushes the balancer. Will the balancer just bottom out or is there a distance from the balancer to the block that I could measure to see if it needs to go any further. I am afraid that im going to mess up the balancer or the crank if I push it too far. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
