This is my first post in the Team Camaro Forum and I wanted to introduce my first Camaro project. Over the years I have built and restored several cars, but always wanted a 69 Camaro. I am building this car to keep and doing all the things I wish I would have on my other projects.

I bought the car in October 2007. It was a California car and my original plan was to drive it for awhile and make a few improvements. After going over the car, I decided to tear it down and start over.

Please see the pictures below…

Thanks guys for the support! I hate to use labels and not sure if it’s really a true “pro-touring” build. I like to think of it as a modern muscle car. The body will be the traditional RS Z28 with all the chrome and markings, but with a lower stance, disk breaks and more HP.

Chassisworks front sub-frame
Chassisworks G-Bar
Chassisworks FAB 9 rear
All new sheetmetal
GM 502 crate engine
13” Disk breaks
TCI Street Fighter turbo 400 transmission
Tuxedo black with white strips

Please see the rendering below…

Project Update: The DSE mini tubs, inner fender wheels, full rear quarters, rear window to trunk panel, and roof skin have been partially installed. Now comes the tedious part of adjusting, pounding and fitting the new sheetmetal to get everything to align properly.

It’s been a long time since I updated this thread. It’s been a long 2 years and lots of $s later, but the car is now assembled. I will be working on the ISIS wiring this winter and the interior this spring. Below are some of my favorite pictures taken over the past couple of months.
