I just finished all my work on my Camaro. I stripped her of the emissions, so I have very basic vacuum setup (brakes, carb, intake). While it was on jack-stands it idled beautifully...I just knew I had solved the high-idle problem by plugging all the holes.

Now that she is on the ground again, I have a very high idle (no tach, but I'd guess 3000). Granted, it was colder last night than it has been being by 20 degrees, but only the computer (which I don't have) would pick up on that, right?

Anybody have any ideas that would cause the perfect idle when the front end is raised about 4" versus on the ground? Where to start?

I just remembered that I have changed one other thing. I added a spacer between the carb & the breather cover. I guess it could be throwing things off. I'll take it off tomorrow & see.
