Hello again:(:)
I have a 94 camaro with the 3.4 V6 engine and yesterday after I got my car washed I started it up and my heat guage started fluctuating from Hot to the middle every minute while i was driving. When I got home I noticed that Coolant is leaking on the bottom of engine and that there is no heat in the car. Is it the water pump that went wrong or the radiator?any ideas?

Best advice is to get the car up in the air and take a look underneath where the leak is coming from. I was quick to jump to the conclusion that my waterpump went out once again but upon further inspection, turned out I had a freeze plug rust though, and that living in California too. I had a LT1 so Im guessing the water pumps might be different but I could tell if the waterpump was going out cause there is a little leak hole at the bottom of the pump. If thats wet, your pump is on its way out.

Thanks for the advice I am going to check it out tomorrow.IS it hard to acces the freeze plug on the V6 or not really?

Some plugs are always easier to get to then others. Murphy of course will always make it the furtherst and hardest drain plug to get. I would imagine you may have a little more room then I did in your engine bay though with the V6.

I checked it today there is no problem with the freeze plugs but it looks like there is a leaking behind the water pump but not exactly by the water pump(it is dripping above the belt tensioner but the freezeplug looked ok there and anyways it is wet above the plug too..)...It looks like it is coming from behind the part that holds the water pump...Any ideas?Cracked block? possible?Thanks guys

Find a parts store that has free loaner tools or that has a cooling system pressure tester, (you can buy one at Harbor Freight or maybe take it in to a repair shop and have them hook up their cooling system pressure tester to your vehicle) put the correct radiator cap from the tool where yours is and pressureize your cooling system and you will soon know exactly where the coolant leak is coming from. This is the easiest way to find your leak.
