This question is for any shops or individuals who do electrical work. I have been talking to a semi retired pro about installing my 18 circuit harness. This harness requuires terminating the ends - crimp solder, shrink tube. I have a number of aftermarket accessories such as electric fan, power seats, Gear Vendor, auxiliary lighting etc. Can I get an idea of your opinion of a fair labor price. TIA

ttt. Anybody that can give me some insight here? I really have no clue on a reasonable fee.

I guess there are no shop owners lurking that do this sort of thing, or else they don't want to give a blind estimate.

I'd charge about $50 an hour and estimate it would take 8 hours to complete the work. Any additional parts needed would be extra. So you're probably looking at $400 labor I'd guess.

I have installed such a kit before and I would guess about $500. Not as painless as they claim.

I did mine and I don't have near the accessories that you have and it took me about 10 hours. A pro could probably do it in half the time. $400 sounds about right to me.

I have been in the 2-way Radio Communications field for some 25yrs now. Sales, Service, Maintenace & Installation.
Seems like I have crawled around just about every kind of vehicle and installed just about every form of business fleet 2-way radio configuration and complete law enforcement packages. Custom Hidden Radios, Light bars, Strobes, Cameras, Mobile Data terminals cages, gun locks, Sirens, push bumpers Cell Phone car kits ext.... as well as some Custom Car Audio / Video packages.

If you had all the necessary components readily available
and the installer has all the proper tools, as well as based on the installers experience, it can be easily completed in 4 - 8hrs.

Estimate; $300.00 to $600.00 for the job.
Professionally done.

Kurt :beers:
