Have any of you used the wilwood rear disc conversion that uses the ford ebrake setup? Did you revert to original or cross the wilwood cables over to a single pull point??

I have them on my car now. I did not use the cable block that comes with the kit. I used some brass round cable ends that have the set screws in each end to tighten the cable down. I can send some pics if you want. The front half of the system I used the stock cables and rod etc..

Thanks Jon.
I assume you put the kit cable housing adapters in the original locations. Where did you find the cable ends? I havent come across those yet. I was curious also if the original padal/cable travel is long enough?
I read that in some cars it was necessary to rig up a lever in order to get enough cable travel to the parking brake. That mod wasnt on a camaro though. I didnt find anything on a camaro swap.

I used Right Stuff front kit with my stock cable from the pedal assembly. I pulled the cables out of the housings on the Willwood kit, cut them to length to factory positions, then fed the long cables from the rear brakes through them after mounting first. Then hooked up the front and backed the adjuster nut off pulled the cables tight from the rear, marked them and cut them off. i will post up pics and part numbers for you when I get home tonight. The cable ends are round with a hole in the center for the cable and on the ends of them they have set screws that sandwich the cable inside. Plus they fit nicely inside the hooks that are coming from the front cable assembly.

Here are the cable ends.

Is this the kit you guys are talking about? Wilwood D154 Rear Parking Brake Kits 140-12208

I'm trying to keep costs down, was thinking about the S10 approach, but not 100% thrilled about the quality of the parts, and when you substitute new parts you're talking close to $500. Aside from the kit, what else is needed?

Jon,
Thanks for the pics. I would be worried about pulling out of that cable end but i will be trying it.
Mike,
I believe its a version of the kit, perhaps the same as Jons. My setup is different in that the cable comes off the top of the backplate.
No part of the brake emergency brake cable setup is included in the brake package, at least not in mine. Mine came with the rear.

I understand you only have the rear. For the front cable I used Right Stuff Detailing kit. And the cable ends are made for the intended use. If you need anymore information just let me know.

How much further outboard do these Wilwood kits push the wheel mounting surface?

Nice exhaust for sure. I'm going to use the Borla Pro XS.
