Wow... Some nice cars there. Would be nice if I could get to one of those eventually.

No kidding.
This was the first year of this event.
They ran short of entries, so they reached out to the local clubs to
help fill the field.

Don't expect they will continue to invite lowly muscle cars much.
If I had brought a Camaro, I might have won a trophy.
There was not a single Camaro on the show field.
There were just too many trailered Corvettes - and those class winners are ALWAYS big Block cars.
We drove ours the 30 miles to the show - I like to drive my cars.

No, I did not own the car at the time.
I did however get to meet him briefly a few years later.

The owner at the time took LOTS of pictures.
Elfi signed too. (she is so cute)
He was an amazing man. Very nice person.

From what I understand -- John Z. knew him very well.

Well I have to admit - I know I had an blast.
At one point we had discussed bringing 2 cars - maybe the 2 Pacecars.

A few hours into the show, Stella remarked...
"we should have brought 2 cars"
When I agreed, she said... "Yea, that way I could be leaving now" :clonk:

After a few glasses of wine though - she settled in.
