I am trying to find which wire color goes where on my 1969 camaro.

car as 3 pin alternator and 4 wire regulator on rad support.

alternator as folowing wires:

large red and a double socket with 1 dark blue and a white wire.

volatge regulator as 1 brown, 1 orange, 1 white and 1 dark blue.

I would like to know each of these wires function and where they should be plugged.

Brown, #4 on Vr, to GEN light
Orange, #3, to tie point of BAT on alt, horn relay buss bar (red wires)
#2, White on VR to right hand terminal on alt, #2, as looking at the rear.
Blue wire, #F on VR, to #1 on alt rear panel.

thanks, but can someone explain me the function of the wires.

Both my brown and white wires have no 12v , are they suppose to be withour 12v

White is voltage sense from the VR, 12 volts, key on.
Brown is the other side of GEN light, >1 volt with key on, engine off. If alt is working, 12 volts to turn off GEN light.
Dark blue is field voltage for alternator, full field, ie, 12 volts, will produce amperage level stamped on alt case, otherwise, lower voltage proportionate to load and rpm.
