the casting # on the head is 3927188 then next to that it says b188 then GM 31

The block number off of the back is 3956618

I was told the engine is a 350 with 2.02/1.6 heads in my 67 camaro any info especially on the size and HP of the engine at stock condition and at its present condition with a 750 edelbrock carb, Mystery cam (best guess is its the cam from the performer package) performer 2.0 intake, k&n filter, 1 3/4 headers with a full mandrell bent 2.5 inch system through Delta 40 mufflers.

Post the numbers from the pad in front of the Pass head. The suffix code on the end of that number will tell you what the original application of the engine was.

the numbers on the passanger side head are a b***h to find! ive already tried once or twice, but i have to go in today and take another look.

No, the pad above the pass. side upper water pump bolt!!
The letters at the end of the VIN number string may decode to motor, year, hp, car, tranny, carb., etc??

They are like XXXXXXXCT or XXXXXTSC sort of deal and if they aren't there, they may just be on a little pad right above the middle of the water pump's pulley at the deck???

i should have posted that i ment the pass. side upper water pump bolt but i thought i knda implied it, anyway I still cant find the #'s am i blind or could this be a different block style the VIN is 124377l162348 I know this so far thanks to camaros.net
