What pulley system do you recommend for a LS376 (LS3) that's going in a '68 Camaro? I plan on using the Vintage Air A/C system. They have a system called front runner that looks nice but it's very pricey. Will one of the GM setup's work without modifying the car? I don't want to notch or cut the subframe. Thanks.

I would look to see what the kit has, I am sure they have figured out where that compressor will be on the LS motor. I have even seen guys use the factory type compressor in this set up , just hooking up to the hoses to the cowl. I have the old style system on a sbc, but the newer installs I have seen guys run hoses into a bulkhead under the right fender, gives a clean look . I think there are special motor mounts to put that motor for the first gen body. I don't think you will be cutting any body parts, I do know the oil pan is deeper than the sbc. Headers are also available. See what the vendor has for you. The main office is in San Antonio ,Tx in case you want to call one of the techs. Good people.

I have this exact setup on my car. Sure, I really want a Wegner drive system but I don't have $2500 to put on an accessory drive system. The GM stuff works great for a fraction of the cost and if you ever need anything, just cruise to the local parts store for replacement parts. I really like the look of the Holley AC bracket, looks almost identical to the factory stuff!

I also have it on my car. The total for the OEM/Holley setup is about $750; that leaves $1,750 available to make the car go faster, handle better, stop quicker or be more reliable - all things that will actually improve performance.

Thanks for all the info! I'm hoping to drop the engine in soon. I'm hoping the harmonic balancer will clear the Hotchkis front sway bar. It's a lot beefier than the stock one. I prefer to just keep the stock LS3 balancer on and go with the GM pulley set less the A/C. I'll get the A/C unit and bracket from Vintage Air.

You should be OK with the balancer. I would suggest looking at the Holley AC bracket as it matches the GM ALT/PS bracket.

I just put one on an LS3/480 swap and it really worked out great.

That looks awesome! What A/C motor did you get? I think read somewhere that the GM A/C motor won't work with the Vintage Air system.
