I just ordered a set of Doug's D368 headers for my 68 as they seem the be the ones that fit the best based on what I have heard here. I have an AFR gauge in my car and need to mount the O2 sensor. My existing headers are crappy and rusty so I just welded it into the collector. Don't wanna do that with these due to the coating. So, does anyone know what the collector extension they include with the headers is made of? I can't weld stainless but can regular steel. I have a clamp on mount (and just realized I forgot to order a new weld in bung) that I can use but we prefer to weld it up.
